چکیده

In this paper a novel approach for detection of peaks in spectral representations of music signals is proposed. The basic idea is to detect local maxima in any digitized signal and employ statistical techniques for filtering out spurious peaks which are the result of imperfections and noise in spectral representations of music signal.

A New Dictionary Construction Method in Sparse Representation Techniques for Target Detection in Hyperspectral Imagery

Hyperspectral data in Remote Sensing which have been gathered with efficient spectral resolution (about 10 nanometer) contain a plethora of spectral bands (roughly 200 bands). Since precious information about the spectral features of target materials can be extracted from these data, they have been used exclusively in hyperspectral target detection. One of the problem associated with the detect...

Three Decades of Development in DOA Estimation Technology

This paper presents a brief overview of narrowband direction of arrival (DOA) estimation algorithms and techniques. A comprehensive study is carried out in this paper to investigate and evaluate the performance of variety of algorithms for DOA estimation. Two categories of DOA estimation algorithms are considered for discussion which are Classical methods and Subspace based techniques. Classica...

Peak Extraction and Partial tracking of Music signals using Kalman filtering

In this paper we propose a partial tracking method for music signals based on Kalman filtering. We first introduce a novel technique for detection of peaks in spectral representations of music signals. We also introduce different evolution models for our Kalman filter based on the shape of frequency and power partials in different classes of melodic instruments. Parameters of these models are e...

Synchrosqueezing-based Transform and its Application in Seismic Data Analysis

Seismic waves are non-stationary due to its propagation through the earth. Time-frequency transforms are suitable tools for analyzing non-stationary seismic signals. Spectral decomposition can reveal the non-stationary characteristics which cannot be easily observed in the time or frequency representation alone. Various types of spectral decomposition methods have been introduced by some resear...

Nonparametric Spectral-Spatial Anomaly Detection

Due to abundant spectral information contained in the hyperspectral images, they are suitable data for anomalous targets detection. The use of spatial features in addition to spectral ones can improve the anomaly detection performance. An anomaly detector, called nonparametric spectral-spatial detector (NSSD), is proposed in this work which utilizes the benefits of spatial features and local st...
